About DNP Blueprint

Who’s behind this site

I’m a measurement and statistics specialist with a PhD. For years I’ve worked with DNP students on their projects, mostly at the points where a project meets data: choosing what to measure, building or selecting instruments, setting up data, choosing an analysis, and making sense of the results.

My background is in measurement and quantitative methods: how well an instrument measures what it claims to, how to analyze change over time, and how to handle data where people are grouped, such as patients within units.

Why this site exists

The same few problems come up again and again in DNP projects. An outcome that can’t change in the time available. A survey whose before and after responses can’t be linked. Data collected in a shape that doesn’t fit the planned analysis. Most of these are easy to prevent at the start and hard or impossible to fix at the end.

This site puts what I’d want every student to know before those decisions are locked in, in one place, for free.

What you’ll find here

Guides organized by project stage and project type, free tools that run in your browser, and checklists you can use with your faculty. Every guide is written or reviewed by me.

What this site isn’t

It isn’t a substitute for your faculty advisor or your program’s requirements. Read Our principles for how we draw those lines.

The information on this site may be updated or changed over time. The tools apply fixed rules to your answers and data, so their results may not reflect every detail of your project.
