New Practice Model & Pilot
Pilot projects try out a new care model or service on a small scale. Their main question is usually feasibility: whether it can be delivered as planned, whether people will take part, and whether it's acceptable to patients and staff.
Common mistakes for this type
- Treating a small pilot as a test of effectiveness.
- Not setting feasibility criteria in advance, such as a recruitment or completion target.
- Not keeping a record of what was actually delivered.
